More about Lauren
LAUREN LILLIAN was born in the Twin Cities of Minneapolis, MN, the hometown of the infamous icon Prince and his Paisley Park Studios. At an early age, she moved with her mom, a single parent, to Viroqua, Wisconsin and attended Viroqua High School. During her years at Viroquashe sang and competed in school choirs and theatrical plays and became a member of the
Future Business Leader of America (FBLA), an organization that develops front-runner groundbreakers. She continued her studies at the University of Milwaukee majoring in real
estate. But she had bigger dreams. In 2016, Lauren decided to close the books on selling and set out on a new path to achieve her goal of becoming a recording artist. With her gift of voice, she left her roots in the mid-west and took a leap of faith to launch her career. That step landed her in the big city – Atlanta, GA. Where settled in trendy Cobb County – the “it” spot surrounded by dream-seekers and ambitious millennials. There, she got her chance to audition for super-producer Christopher Starr, (Mary J. Blige, Chris Brown, Christina Aguilera…), Founder of CSP Music Group, a music production company with a primary focus on soulful melodies and edgy tracks, that represents the development of artists and song mixing, engineering and production, from start to finish. Impressed by Lauren’s soprano range and authentic sound, Starr gathered his team of engineers in his Atlanta-based state-of-the-art studio to guide her in the process of recording songs in preparation of her upcoming EP, [EP Title] scheduled for release on Mason J Records in 2017. The album [yet untitled] is a collaboration effort of cover songs and original tracks that are reminiscent of her style of reggae twists and R&B elements, inspired by her favorite musical influences, internationally famed reggae great Bob Marley, and multi-Grammy Award winner, Lauryn Hill.
